Kell Brook and Kevin Bizier fight Saturday night at the Sheffield Arena for the IBF welterweight title.
Kell Brook enters this fight with a 35-0 record that includes 24 knockouts. This will be Brook’s third fight since 2015, and he’s coming off a May win over Frankie Gavin. Brook is a compact puncher who can hit his opponent from a variety of angles and has won five of his last seven fights by knockout. Brook has above-average hand speed and a vicious uppercut that can end a fight. Special K has very few flaws in his game as he approaches 30 years old. The only real concern with Brook is his stamina, as he tends to wear down if fights go the distance and give away rounds from time to time. Brook has fought all but two of his fights in England, his home country.

Kevin Bizier enters this fight with a 25-2 record that includes 16 knockouts. Bizier has won four of his last five fights and is coming off a November win over Fredrick Lawson. Bizier is a smart defensive fighter who does a nice job of mixing up combinations. Bizier also has a proven chin and has never clearly lost a fight throughout his career at 31 years old. The concern with Bizier is that he’s had a roughly east career at this point, beating up on a bunch of nobodies and fighting in the comfort of his home country. This is different. This will be Bizier’s first fight in England and second outside of Canada.
This fight is quite simple and it’s going to end with a Brook win. Bizier is a decent fighter but is nowhere in the same class as Brook. In fact, both of Bizier’s losses have come in split decisions against Jo Jo Dan, a fighter Brook beat rather easily.
Brook is in a class of his own as a welterweight, and it’s going to take more than Bizier to end his run.
