The banged up Central Michigan Chippewas will be on the road to take the field with the UNLV Rebels.
Central Michigan rebounded from a lopsided defeat to Michigan to squeeze past New Hampshire 24-21 to even their record at 1-1. This one seemed to be headed for the loss column before the Chippewas erupted for a 24-8 second half burst that saw Ron Coluzzi nail a 27 yard field goal as time expired. The CMU defense gave up 385 yards and forced a pair of turnovers while the offense relied on the passing of Cooper Rush with little coming from the running game. Rush misfired often but hit some big gainers, going 19-31 for 325 yards anthree touchdowns including a 97 yarder to Titus Davis who caught six balls for 184 yards and two scores.

UNLV is usually considered as a team that plays better at home which I can't argue with. However, after watching Arizona come to town and dismantle the home team 58-13 this game could have been played on the moon and it wouldn't have mattered. This one was over quick with the Wildcats leading 45-6 at the half and breaking the 500 yard barrier despite calling off the dogs early. The Rebels had two plays to hang their hats on including a 69 yard Nick Sherry to Devante Davis scoring strike and Shaquille Murray-Lawrence's 79 yard scoring run. UNLV totaled 282 yards overall and commited three turnovers and with two plays accounting for nearly 150 yards you can use your imagination as to what happened.
Let me say that RB Zurlon Tipton has a broken ankle and QB Cody Kater broke his collarbone so is that enough of an edge for UNLV to exploit? It should be but they won't see a cent from me because I don't like the visitors either...
