The Hawaii Warriors head to MacKay Stadium to tangle with the Nevada Wolf Pack in week four.
I know Hawaii has played just two s and were never really a factor in either but they still have the look of an improved team. Being healthy has much to do with after an injury riddled 2012 but there are still plenty of holes that still need to be filled. A 33-14 loss at Oregon shed some light on the issues with the Beavers racking up 508 yards but still not finfing the end zone as often as one would think. The flip side is the Warriors totaled just 239 yards and the historical passing attack of UH is not a factor. In a nut shell, this has become more of a defensive team this season. Taylor Graham and Sean Schroeder combined to complete 18-32 for 170 yards with a touchdown and pick but nothing down field. Hawaii struggled to run and only had 20 minutes of possession with a pick six accounting sor one of their scores.

Nevada took one on the chin in 62-7 rout at Florida State in week two that not only hurt some pride but dropped their record to 1-2 in the early going. No Cody Fajardo and a banged up back field heading in to week four has to be a concern with the team unable to mount an attack through the air or ground. The Wolf Pack mustered just 214 yards which made Chris Solomon the offensive star with his 26 carry, 108 yard night easily the best performance. The Pack used Tyler Stewart and Devin Combs under center with the duo going 13-24 for 86 yards with a touchdown and interception. The defense was tagged for over 600 yards by a Seminoles offense that was simply too big and too fast and could run or throw whenever they chose.
Hawaii is not Florida State and won't sniff 60 points with problems of their own at quarterback. Nevada wins and covers with a healthy Fajardo but both teams are hurting in the back field so with all the unknowns I'll take the points and advise against a play unless we see something on injuries as the game nears when I might make a change...
