Nevada used a late rally to take down Air Force 45-42 in week five action to up their record to 3-2. A 21-7 fourth quarter run capped by a Cody Fajardo two yard run with less then two minutes remaining did the trick and capped off 600 yards of offense. Nevada really had no issue running or throwing with Kendall Brock and Fajardo combining for 165 yards on 31 carries. Fajardo was still at his best in the air with a 38-54 afternoon for 389 yards and three touchdowns with Aaron Bradley and Brandon Wimberly combining for a monster 269 yards on 26 receptions. The Falcons gashed Nevada on the ground for 375 yards and nearly 7 1/2 yards per touch.

San Diego State hasn't exactly jumped out of the gates with three straight defeats to begin 2-13 before rallying past New Mexico State 26-16 on the road. The numbers say the Aztecs dominated the game with a 436-268 advantage in total yards even though NMSU actually led 16-0 at one point. The difference was New Mexico State was one dimensional with no running threat while SDSU was able to both run and throw. Donnel Pumphrey paced the rushing attack with with 167 yards on 19 totes with a trio of scoring runs including a 43 yard clincher with around three minutes left. Quinn Kaehler completed 22-34 for 229 yards with Ezell Ruffin snaring eight balls for 101 yards in a mistake free ball control air game.
Neither team dominated their last time out and had to come from behind to win. I think San Diego State is the better squad but I would have to have less then a touchdown to back them because I have this at about a six point spread...
