The Maryland Terrapins travel to Florida State to play the Seminoles on Saturday.
Maryland is coming off a bye week after starting the year a perfect 4-0. The Terps have defeated Florida International, Old Dominion, Connecticut, and West Virginia so far this season. Maryland has not allowed an opponent to score over 21 points and has scored at least 32 points on offense in each of their four games. In the Terps last game against West Virginia two weeks ago, the Maryland offense produced 323 yards. QB C.J. Brown rushed for a touchdown and passed for a score to help Maryland end a seven-game losing streak against West Virginia. Brown finished 17 of 26 for 210 yards and a touchdown. WR Long and WR Jacobs combined for 9 catches for 130 yards in the win. RB Ross carried the ball 20 times for 67 yards and a touchdown. The Terps defense forced 6 turnovers and held the Mountaineers to only 175 total yards. Maryland was able to get off the field on 3rd down and dominate time of possession. The Terps defense will have to play a perfect game against Florida State this week, while the offense will have to make some big plays to pull off the upset down south in Florida.

The Florida State Seminoles improved to 4-0 on the year after beating Boston College on the road 48-34. The Seminoles did not look sharp both offensively and defensively in this game, but they still managed to earn their second conference road win. The Seminoles offense produced 489 total yards and topped 40 points for the fourth time this season. QB Jameis Winston threw for 197 yards and four touchdowns, but also threw two interceptions on Saturday. WR Benjamin and WR Shaw combined for 196 total yards on 7 catches with 1 touchdown. RB Freeman rushed 9 times for only 49 yards, while Winston added 67 yards on the ground off 14 carries. The Florida State defense allowed 397 yards to the Eagles, but managed to force two turnovers. Boston College was able to rush for 200 yards and controlled the clock for most of the game. The Seminoles did a great job getting off the field on 3rd down in the win. Florida State will have to play better this week against a tough Maryland squad that will be hungry for a big upset.
The Terps are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games overall, and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record. The Seminoles are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Florida State has won the last 6 meetings between these two teams, dating back to 2007. The Seminoles have blown the Terps out in about half of those games, while Maryland has put up a good fight in the other half. Maryland has had two weeks off to prepare for this game and has already won one road game and another neutral site game this season. The Terps have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball and should cause some problems for the Seminoles. Meanwhile, Florida State is coming off a mediocre performance on the road and will be looking to play more efficient on their home field. I think the Seminoles will remain undefeated and earn a win on Saturday, but I think laying more than two touchdowns is too much. I believe Maryland will keep this within 14 points on Saturday.
