The Colorado State Rams visist Aloha Stadium to square off with the Hawaii Warriors in the final game of week nine.
I know many people did not give Colorado State much of a look before the season began but they aren't all that far away from a winning record which would probably opened some eyes. The Rams did open some eyes in week eight whe they completely dominated Wyoming on the road 52-22 as a touchdown dog. This was really no contest with CSU jumping out to a 24-7 lead at the half and still pushing the issue until the final gun. In the end over 500 yards, three forced turnovers and the ability to run and throw carried the day. The Rams ran for 290 yards with Kapri Biggs going off for 201 yards on 29 carries with scoring runs of 7, 9 and 59 yards. Garrett Grayson took care of the passing attack, completing 18-23 for 219 yards with three scoring strikes including a 71 yarder.

It might be impossible to justify what I am about to say but Hawaii looks better then the team we saw in 2012. I know their 0-6 record maskes that sound laughable but I have seen some positive signs although the Warriors obviously need more scoring power and a stiffer defense. The defense let the team down in a 39-37 loss at UNLV where the Warriors rallied from a 36-17 hole only to watch the Rebels hit a 44 yard field goal as time expired. UH was out gained 579-454 with around 130 yards rushing and five yard average which was abandoned because of the score. Sean Schroeder picked up the slack through the air by hitting on 24-46 for 325 and four touchdowns and no interceptions but the Hawaii defense struggled to get stops.
I see some similarities between Colorado State and UNLV in this match up in that the Rams have been scoring which has me looking at the over if Schroeder can keep up his passing...
