The Arizona Wildcats and the UCLA Bruins face off on Saturday in a Pac-12 college football matchup of 6-2 teams.
The Arizona Wildcats have played their last two games on the road and while they were away games they were against two of the softer opponents in the Pac-12, Cal and Colorado. Arizona has won three in a row and their offense is averaging 35.9 points and 463.1 yards per game and they have turned the ball over just eight times. QB B.J. Denker has completed 58.1 percent of his passes for 1,502 yards with nine touchdowns and three interceptions and he has rushed for 563 yards and 11 touchdowns. Ka’Deem Carey has rushed for 1,072 yards and 10 touchdowns and he has 18 receptions out of the backfield. Samajie Grant has 33 receptions and Nate Phillips has 21 catches and four touchdowns. The Arizona defense is allowing 20.9 points and 372.9 yards per game and they have 12 interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and nine sacks. Scooby Wright has 60 tackles, Marquis Flowers has 53 tackles, and Jake Fisher has 47 tackles. This is a turning point game for Arizona as they look to get a win against one of the better teams in the Pac-12.

The UCLA Bruins have had a strong season with both of their losses coming to powerhouse teams in Stanford and Oregon. UCLA bounced back with a win over Colorado last week and for the season the offense is averaging 37.2 points and 462 yards per game and they have turned the ball over 11 times. Bruins QB Brett Hundley has completed 68.2 percent of his passes for 1,998 yards with 16 touchdowns and eight interceptions and he has rushed for 431 yards and six touchdowns. Jordan James is healthy again and is averaging 5.9 yards per carry and he has five touchdowns and Paul Perkins has rushed for 334 yards and three touchdowns. Devin Fuller leads the UCLA receivers with 34 catches and four touchdowns, Shaquell Evans has 30 catches and five touchdowns, and Jordan Payton has 24 catches. Defensively UCLA allows 22.5 points and 386.8 yards per game with nine interceptions, six fumble recoveries, and 16 sacks. Eric Kendricks has 65 tackles, Anthony Jefferson has 59 tackles, and Anthony Barr has 6 sacks. UCLA will be looking for a strong finish to the season and a possible spot in the Pac-12 Title Game.
Arizona is 1-5 against the spread against a team with a winning record and 17-38 against the spread after allowing more than 28 yards passing in their previous game. UCLA is 7-3 against the spread following a game in which they didn’t cover the spread, 4-1 against the spread following a win, and 4-0 against the spread after scoring 40 or more points in their previous game. The home team has covered the point spread in 8 of the last 10 meetings of these two.
UCLA is simply the far better teams here as the records are deceptive because of the overall schedule quality. UCLA has played a much tougher schedule and should have no problem in this spot.
