The Texas A&M Aggies and the Mississippi State Bulldogs face off on Saturday in College Station for a SEC college football battle.
The Texas A&M Aggies have won five of their last six games and the haven’t scored less than 40 points in a game all season. The Texas A&M Offense has been explosive as they average 49 points and 582.6 yards and they have turned the ball over 15 times. Johnny Manziel has completed 72.5 percent of his passes for 2,867 yards with 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions and he has rushed for 564 yards and eight touchdowns. While Texas A&M won’t be playing for a championship they should be in an upper level bowl game this post season.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are coming off of a tough loss as they went into South Carolina and were blasted by the Gamecocks. The Mississippi State offense is averaging 28.4 points and 447.1 yards per game and they have turned the ball over 11 times. Dak Prescott has completed 59.1 percent of his passes for 1,393 yards with five touchdowns and six interceptions and he has rushed for 568 yards and 10 touchdowns. LaDarius Perkins has rushed for 378 yards and a touchdown and he has 17 catches out of the backfield. Jameon Lewis as 37 catches for 491 yards and four touchdowns and Robert Johnson has 23 catches or 262 yards. Defensively Mississippi State is allowing 24.2 points and 352.4 yards with five interceptions, five fumble recoveries, and 10 sacks. Deonte Skinner has 50 tackles, Bernardrick McKinney has 49 tackles, and Nickoe Whitley has three interceptions. Mississippi State is going to need to come up with another offensive gear of they hope to hang wit the Aggies in this one.
Texas A&M is 5-1 against the spread in their last six home games, 6-2 against the spread following a win by 20 or more points, and 4-1 against the spread following a cover. Mississippi State is 1-4 against the spread in their last five SEC games, 3-7 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 1-6 against the spread in their last seven road games.
This is a monster spread and despite Texas A&M’s suspect defense I don’t see how Mississippi State can put up the points to keep this one even remotely close.
