The Tulane Green Wave look to get back in the win column with a win at Texas-San Antonio in week eleven.
Tulane has been far from glamorous with an offense that scores just enough backed by a defense that has generally made whatever points handed to them stand up. That wasn't the case in week ten in a disappointing 34-17 loss at Florida International. I wasn't shocked the Green Wave lost but I was surprised given they led 17-7 at the half. This one rested on the shoulders of the offense who managed only nine first downs and 167 yards. The four turnovers were fuel for the fire with the defense doing all they could by limiting the Golden Panthers to 331 yards and returning an interception 69 yards for six. Orleans Darkwa led the Green Wave with 45 rushing yards on eleven touches with Nick Montana going 7-22 for 71 yards and a killer three interceptions.

Texas-San Antonio went to Tulsa looking to keep their slim postseason hopes alive and it was mission accomplished in an easy 34-15 victory as a three point under dog. The Roadrunners started fast and never looked back with a 24-0 lead heading in to the locker room all UTSA needed. The Road runners dominated the trenches with 286 ground yards and over seven yard average. David Glasco II was the work horse with 135 yards on 21 carries while Kam Jones ripped off an 84 yard touchdown run on his only touch. Eric Soza was deadly efficient in a very short passing attack by completing 16-20 for 114 yards with a touchdown and no turnovers. The defense held the Golden Hurricane attack to 378 yards and didn't allow Tulsa to get un tracked offensively until a few late scores.
I have to say I was far more impressed by Texas-San Antonio in week ten then Tulane who was simply awful. If the Green Wave don't play better they will get their lunch handed to them by the Roadrunners...
