The Ball State Cardinals visit the Northern Illinois Huskies with the winner taking control of the MAC West.
Ball State's only blemish on the year is a loss to North Texas where they held a sizeable lead only to watch the Mean Green rally past them for a seven point loss. Since then the Cardinals seven straight after rolling past Central Michigan 44-24. BSU has been very impressive offensively with almost 40 points per contest with the Chippewas getting an up front and personal look with the Cardinals racking up 549 yards with the ability to run or throw equally well. Horatio Banks paced a potent rushing attack with 143 yards on eleven carries and a TD with Jahwan Edwards adding another 90 yards. Keith Wenning sparkled through the air on 20-29 for 299 yards with four touchdowns with Willie Snead hauling in nine balls for 118 yards and two scores.

The #18 Huskies are in line for another MAC title behind one the most explosive offenses in the game that has run and thrown their way to over 44 points. Jordan Lynch and crew continued to eat up the real estate in a 63-19 victory at Massachusetts in which the Huskies racked up over 600 yards. Lynch paced the run with 119 yards on 17 totes with four trips to the end zone while Cameron Stingily and Drew Hare combined for another 110 yards with a touchdown each. Lynch was effective in the air as well with a 10-13 performance producing 160 yards with Chad Beebe hauling in an 81 yard touchdown. The defense gave up 324 yards and recovered a fumble and picked off a pair of throws.
This is one of those times where I would prefer to watch then bet with so much at stake. For now I'll back the Ball State and will update by game day...
