The Arizona Wildcats hit week 12 at 6-3 but they are coming off of a home loss to UCLA. While the final score against the Bruins appeared close the game on the field really wasn’t’. The Washington State Cougars hit their 10th game of the season at 4-5 meaning that they need to win at east two of their last three games if they want to be a in a bowl game. Washington State has looked decent at times but of late they have lost three games in a row and four of their last five. WSU QB Connor Halliday has completed 62.7 percent of his passes for 3,098 yards with 20 touchdowns and 18 interceptions Marcus Mason as rushed for 221 yards and a touchdown and Jeremiah Laufasa has seven touchdowns on the ground. Gabe marks has 63 catches and six touchdowns and Ricky Galvin has 31 catches and two touchdowns. Deonne Bucannon has 85 tackles and five interceptions, Darryl Monroe has 54 tackles, and Damante Hornton has four interceptions. Washington State averages 29.8 points and 417.1 yards per game while defensively Wazzu allows 32.7 points and 453.3 yards.
Arizona is 2-5 against the spread in their last seven Pac-12 games, 2-5 against the spread in their last seven Pac-12 games, and 1-4 against the spread in their last five games following a game in which they didn’t cover the spread. Washington State is 4-1 against the spread following a loss, 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 games, and 5-0 against the spread following a double-digit home loss. The underdog has covered the point spread in nine of the last 11 meetings of these two.
Arizona is decent but they aren’t the type of team I want to be laying nearly two touchdowns with against a team who can score like Wazzu so I am going to take the points.
