The Colorado Buffaloes and the USC Trojans face off on Saturday in a Pac-12 college football matchup.
The Colorado Buffaloes have slim bowl hopes still alive but they need to win out to make it happen. Colorado is coming off a convincing win over Cal that was the best game they played all season. Offensively Colorado is averaging 380.6 yards and 25.9 points per game. Sefo Liufau has completed 63.4 percent of his passes with eight touchdowns and six interceptions. Christian Powell has rushed for 509 yards and Michael Adkins has rushed for 434 yards and five touchdowns. Paul Richardson has 71 receptions and nine touchdowns and Nelson Spruce has 45 catches and two touchdowns. Defensively CU allows 477.9 yards and 38.8 points per game and they have 15 sacks. Addison Gillam has 99 tackles, Derrick Webb has 74 tackles, and Parker Orms has 61 tackles. Colorado has their work cut out for them if they hope to be in a bowl game next month.

The USC Trojans are coming off of their best effort of the season knocking off Stanford in a nationally televised primetime game. USC is clearly playing their best football of the season and while they don’t have a lot of depth they have plenty of talent on the roster. The USC offense is averaging 28.2 points and 394.3 yards per game but they are getting better each week. Cody Kessler has completed 64.7 percent of his passes for 13 touchdowns and six interceptions. Tre Madden has rushed for 682 yards and three touchdowns and Javorius Allen averages 6.4 yards per carry with eight touchdowns. Nelson Agholor has 44 receptions and three touchdowns and Marqise Lee has 4 receptions. The USC defense allows 19.4 points and 339.3 yards per game. Hayes Pullard has 71 tackles, Leonard Williams has 63 tackles and five sacks, and Devon Kennard has 8.0 sacks. USC are looking as tough as many thought they would be to start the season.
Colorado is 5-11 against the spread in their last 16 home games, 9-23 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 1-6 against the spread following a win. USC is 5-0 against the spread in their last five Pac-12 games, 6-1 against the spread in their last seven road games against a team with a losing home record, and 2-10 against the spread in their last 12 road games.
USC is a big favorite here but they should be as the Trojan defense should be able to slam the door shut in this one and give the offense a short field.
