The Tulsa Golden Hurricane visit Joe Aillet Stadium to face the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.

With just two games left Tulsa is going no where win or lose and will be on the sideline during Bowl season. Blame this season on struggles on both sides of the ball whether it's been injuries or just poor play that's been the cause. The Golden Hurricane are riding a four game slide following a 45-34 loss to visiting Marshall in which they trailed 31-14 after two quarters before a second half rally came up short. Tulsa forced five turnovers to stay alive despite allowing over 600 yards while the run game wasn't enough to keep the Thundering Herd offense off the field. Trey Watts totaled 169 yards on 31 carries with a pair of scores Tulsa didn't enjoy the same success through the air where Dane Evans hit on 13-39 for 161 yards with a TD and pick.

Louisiana Tech has also had their share of problems in 2013 but most of the issues revolve around moving the chains and scoring, The defense has generally been competitive but we saw what happens when this unit struggles as it did in a 52-14 rout at the hands of Rice. The Owls approached 600 yards of offense with over 400 rushing yards and 40 minutes of possession while the Bulldogs mustered 327 yards and gave the ball away four times. La Tech ran for 146 yards for a five yard average with seven players getting carries but a 24-0 deficit at the half caused the rushing attack to be abandoned. Ryan Higgins completed 9-15 for 138 yards with a touchdown and interception with a 74 yard scoring strike to Sterling Griffin.

To be honest, finding a reason to back either team is difficult. Both have scoring woes and Cody Green is doubtful with a knee injury. I might lean to Tulsa if 100% healthy at quarterback but I'll just take the points for no other reason then it's better then nothing...
