The South Alabama Jaguars visit the Georgia Dome in a bout with the Georgia State Panthers.

South Alabama appeared to be heading for the postseason before dropping three in a row where both the offense and defense struggled. The Jaguars righted the ship with a surprisingly one sided 36-14 rout of Louisiana-Monroe. The balanced USA attack totaled 417 yards and the dangerous Warhawks with Kolton Browning at the helm mustered just 274 yards. The offense was the Ross Metheny show with the signal caller rambling for 128 yards on 16 carries and a touchdown while completing 15-26 throws for 194 yards and three touchdowns with an interception.

The obvious goal for Georgia State heading in to their final game of the year is to break in to the win column for the first time. The Panthers haven't enjoyed a great first year with plenty of struggles on both sides of the ball as opponents have out scored them 36-19 overall. GSU saw their best chance at a win come up short in a 35-33 defeat to Arkansas State as a hefty 24 point road dog. The visitors held a 17-7 lead at the break and out gained ASU 432-290 so how did they lose? Four lost fumbles with one returned 21 yards for six with a blocked punt was also recovered in the end zone is a good place to start. Albert Wilson led the way on the ground with 104 yards on two touches including an 80 yard TD burst while Ronnie Bell connected on 13-25 for 178 yards and a score.

Georgia State might not win a game but they have been a cover machine with an 8-2-1 mark ATS. USA is better and likely wins but I am taking the Panthers to put up a fight and at least cover...

Georgia State +9
