The Georgia Bulldogs visit the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday.
The Georgia Bulldogs improved to 7-4 overall, 5-3 ACC, after beating Kentucky 59-17 at home last weekend. The Bulldogs produced 602 total yards on offense with a well balanced attack, 372 passing and 230 rushing. QB Murray threw for four 1st-half touchdown passes before hurting his left knee and missing the second half of his final home game. RB Gurley rushed 8 times for 77 yards, while WR McGowan caught 7 balls for 90 yards. Gurley also caught 5 balls for 90 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win. The Bulldogs defense played great, allowing only 211 yards against the Wildcats and forcing three turnovers. On the year, Georgia ranks 20th in the country in points scored, 37.9 per game, and 78th in points allowed at 29 points per contest. Murray has thrown for over 3,000 yards and 26 touchdowns this season; however he will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. RB Gurley has rushed for 781 yards and 7 touchdowns this season with limited playing time due to his nagging injuries. WR Conley leads the team with 35 catches for 476 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Bulldogs will try to win their 8th game of the season when they travel to Georgia Tech this weekend; Georgia is 1-3 on the road this season.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets improved to 7-4 overall, 5-3 ACC, after beating Alabama A&M 66-7 on Saturday. Georgia Tech produced 476 yards of offense with 428 coming on the ground. RB Sims rushed for 111 yards on 8 carries to lead the Yellow Jackets to victory. The Georgia Tech defense played well against the inferior opponent, allowing only 252 total yards and forcing 3 turnovers. The Yellow Jackets rank 24th in points scored this season, 36.8 per game, and 24th in points allowed at 21 per game. QB Lee has thrown for over 1,100 yards and 8 touchdowns this year, while RB Sims has rushed for 746 yards and 11 touchdowns. RB Godhigh has not only rushed for over 600 yards and 6 touchdowns, he has also caught 17 calls for 338 yards and 2 scores. The Yellow Jackets will play host to their in-state rival this weekend; Georgia Tech is 5-1 at home this season.
Georgia has won the last four meetings, including a 32 point win at home last season. Georgia Tech is pretty good at stopping the run, but they will have trouble stopping the passing game of Georgia even with Murray out. Meanwhile, the Yellow Jackets only like to run the ball and I think the bigger and more talented front seven for the Bulldogs will be able to slow them down. If Georgia Tech has to rely on the passing game too much they will be in big trouble. I think Georgia wins this game for Murray and they show once again that the SEC is stronger than the ACC.
