The Idaho Vandals invade Aggie Memorial Stadium to face the New Mexico State Aggies.

Idaho is another team that has had problems on both sides of the ball which is reflected in the won/loss record. The numbers sometimes lie but the Vandals lone win came at home versus Temple and the closest the team has come in defeat has been ten points which came against Northern Illinois. The Vandals could only hope they stayed within ten points of Florida State but they must have kicked somebodies dog belonging to the Seminoles who scored early and often and never stopped in an 80-14 rout. FSU totaled 645 yards with the visiting Vandals logging 345 yards but less then 100 rushing yards in a game they needed to run and use some clock to keep the Noles attack on the sideline. Taylor Davis completed 16-38 for 220 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions.

New Mexico State has the same problems most teams do that struggle and that's not enough scoring and too much scoring by opponents. Florida Atlantic exploited both areas in a week 13 55-10 thrashing where the sometimes challenged offense of the Owls piled up 585 yards with the ability to run and throw as they chose. The Aggies had no luck moving the chains against a decent FAU defense with only 278 yards and a 4-18 effort on third down. NMSU did get some rushing yards from Xavier Hall who totaled 74 yards on 12 carries which was more then five others mustered on 32 totes. The Aggies leaned hard on Andrew McDonald and the receiving corps to find the end zone but his 136 yards wasn't nearly enough to keep the scoreboard competitive.

This is definitely not a made for TV bout with these teams bringing a combined 2-20 record in to the finale. I'm going with the home team but I don't have an angle except Idaho has to travel...

New Mexico State -4
