The San Diego State Aztecs and Buffalo Bulls travel to Boise to square off in the Idaho Famous Potato Bowl.
Buffalo brings their defense and balanced offense to just their second Bowl in school history when they head to the Idaho Famous Potato Bowl. The top 50 Bulls defense allowed 376 yards and only 22 points to make life easy for their counterparts on offense. UB allowed 24 points or less nine times and went 8-1 in those contests. The attack averaged 410 yards and nearly 31 points behind ball control passing and a grinding rushing attack. Joe Licata completed 59% of his throws for 2,628 yards with 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions and generally took care of the ball. Alex Neutz (57-937) and Fred Lee (54-644) were the primary targets with Neutz recording eleven touchdowns. When UB decided to run the ball they gave it to Branden Oliver who was as dependable as anyone with 1,421 yards on 281 carries with 15 TD's.

San Diego walked a tight rope in 2013 with four games decided in overtime where they went 3-1 while going 5-2 overall in games decided by a single score. The defense probably gets most of the blame with 394 yards and 32 points allowed with opposing air attacks totaling nearly 260 yards. The Aztecs were middle of the row offensively with 422 yards translating in to 28 points behind a very productive passing game that was ranked number 35 at 262 yards. Quinn Kaehler threw for almost 2,800 yards with 17 touchdowns and nine picks while completing 60% of his throws. Ezell Ruffin was the stretch the field receiver with 1,061 yards on 63 receptions for a hefty 16.8 yard average while Colin Lockett was none too shabby with 696 yards on49 catches with a 14.2 yard average. SDSU could run the ball when they chose behind the duo of Adam Muema (228-1015) and Donnel Pumphrey (123-750) with a combined 20 scores.
I can see this coming down to the team with the ball last wins but this is very definition of toss up so for now I'll side with the Aztecs aerial attack with plenty of points scored...
