The Russell Athletic Bowl features the Miami Hurricanes and the Louisville Cardinals doing battle.
Miami might be back on the road to national prominence but only time will if that becomes reality. The Hurricanes could score and defend which made this a dangerous team although the defense was bend but don't break at times with with 418 yards and 26 points given up. That was generally enough for the offense whiich averaged 447 yards and 36 points with the #29 passing attack leading the way. Stephen Morris was solid under center with 2,868 yards with 21 scores and 12 picks on 58.7% completion rate. Allen Hurns was the gem of the receiving corps with 1,138 yards on 60 catches with a 19 yard average with Stacy Coley and Herb Waters combining for 965 yards on 58 balls. The Canes could run the ball if desired behind Duke Johnson with 945 yards and 523 yards from Dallas Crawford.

Louisville enjoyed a phenominal year which was a mere field goal way from perfection and the AAC title. A 38-35 defeat at the hands of Central Florida was the lone blemish on an 11-1 season with the Cardinals being dominant otherwise on both sides of the ball. The defense gave up a mere 258 yards and only 12 points while putting up top ten numbers versus both the run and pass. That was over kill for an offense that totald 453 yards and 35 points with the #18 air attack averaging 303 yards. Teddy Bridgewater was a special talent as he completed 70% of his throws for 3,523 yards with 28 touchdowns and four interceptions. DeVante Parker was the top receiver with 743 yards followed by Damian Copeland with 690 yards while six players totaled between 200-500 yards. Dominique Brown was a quality option on the ground with 743 yards on 147 totes with Senorise Perry adding another 631 yards.
This might be better to watch then bet which is just my view but I'm leaning to Louisville and their defense...
