The Houston Cougars got their offense going in a week two 47-0 rout of the Grambling Tigers. UH rolled up 477 yards with plenty of balance although the offense turned the ball over twice on fumbles. John O'Korn wasn't sharp with a 14-25 effort in the air for 200 yards but Deontay Greenberry gave Houston a solid receiving threat with five receptions for 110 yards. However the Cougars dominant on the ground with Kenneth Farrow totaling 130 yards and a score while Javin Webb added another 72 yards on eight totes.

The Brigham Young Cougars embarassed the Texas Longhorns for the second straight season with a 47-7 rout on Saturday. BYU led 6-0 at the half before exploding for 28 third quarter points to put this one in the win column. The Longhorns might have missed David Ash under center but it wouldn't have mattered with four turnovers and 258 not being able to compete with the Cougars 428 yards and 31 first downs. Taysom Hill gave BYU 181 passing yards and a pick with Jordan Leslie hauling in eight receptions for 85 yards but the bread and butter was a grinding ground game that posted 247 yards. Hill was at the center of the run game with 99 yards and three touchdowns with Jamaal Williams adding 89 more yards.
I have no doubt Brigham Young wins this because from what I have seen Houston isn't a great team. Having said that I would wait and get more points with Houston because they'll need them or I would play BYU in a teaser to get the line to 12 before this goes higher...
