The Duke Blue Devils will host the Kansas Jayhawks this Saturday at Wallace Wade Stadium.
The Kansas Jayhawks won their opening game against the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks and would love nothing more than to get a bigger victory under their belt here. Kansas may have found a star running back in De'Andre Mann, who rushed for 121 yards on only 15 carries in his first game for the Jayhawks. With that type of production, you can expect Mann to get even more carries beginning in this game. Quarterback Montell Cozart wasn’t that sharp with only 50 percent of his passes complete, but he did toss three touchdowns in the victory. The Jayhawks showed there’s potential on the offensive side of the ball but of course this game will tell us a lot more. Defensively, the Kansas Jayhawks allowed 421 yards and forced three turnovers. Ben Heeney leads the Jayhawks with 11 tackles and Dexter McDonald came away with two interceptions.

The Duke Blue Devils are 2-0 with wins over Elon and Troy, but are now starting to enter the heart of their schedule. Even without Kurt Roper at offensive coordinator, the Duke Blue Devils offense is still explosive, as quarterback Anthony Boone is completing 66.2 percent of his passes for five touchdowns, while running backs Josh Snead and Shaquille Powell have both topped 100 rushing yards already. Jamison Crowder is averaging 11.6 yards per reception and Issac Blakeney is averaging 15 yards per catch. Duke remains a dangerous team when it gets in its groove offensively and can score quickly. Defensively, the Duke Blue Devils are allowing 362 yards per game and have yet to force a turnover. DeVon Edwards leads Duke with 21 tackles and Jordan DeWalt-Ondijo has two sacks to his credit.
The Jayhawks are 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Blue Devils are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 home games and 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall.
Neither team plays defense that well. I'm not confident in the spread considering this is a big game for both, but I love the over on such a small total considering what both teams are capable of offensively.
