The Air Force Falcons play host to the Boise State Broncos on week five Mountain West action.
The Boise State Broncos won their third in a row after dominating Louisiana-Lafayette 34-9 on the blue turf. It was a case of too much offense with nearly 500 yards and no turnovers and 34 minutes of possession combining with a defensive effort that controlled everything the Ragin' Cajuns tried. Jay Ajayi paced the Broncos on the ground with 150 yards and three touchdowns with Devan Demas adding another 78 yards and a TD on just two touches. Boise was just as effective in the air with Grant Hedrick throwing for 237 yards with Matt Miller snaring five passes for 107 yards.

The Air Force Falcons outscored Georgia State 48-38 to improve to 2-1 on the season. This looked like a blowout with the Falcons leading 31-10 at the half and then forgetting how to play defense over the final 30 minutes. The boxscore says neither team played defense with nearly 1,100 yards allowed with Nick Arbuckle burning AFA with 414 passing yards while the Falcons were balanced. Kale Pearson was deadly in the air for the Falcons on 12-15 completions for 224 yards and a pair of touchdowns with Jalen Robinette and Garrett Brown accounting for 13 receptions and 214 yards. Jacobi Owens paced AFA on the ground with 122 yards and a pair of trips to the endzone while three others combined for 161 yards.
If the Falcons play the same defense we saw against Georgia State they should probably not show up. I am willing to back Air Force and the points with a more balanced attack but not real confident right now...
