The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks take on Sun Belt rival the Troy Trojans at Malone Stadium.
The Troy Trojans found themselves on the wrong end of a 66-0 rout at the hands of Georgia in a game that could have been much worse. The Bulldogs led 45-0 at the half and didn't force the issue after that with a huge 547-216 edge in yardage telling us all we needed to know. Throw in a pair or turnovers and a miserable day got worse. This was a game Troy deperately needed to ron the ball to keep the clock running but that didn't happen with around 50 yards not eating up anything but downs. Dontreal Pruitt moved the ball a bit through the air with 158 yards and a few completions down field but UGA was too big and too fast.

The Louisiana-Monroe were unable to move the ball against LSU and the result was a 31-0 defeat that probably wasn't even that close. On first glance we see the Tigers were held to a respectable 372 yards but they generally kept things on the ground with 52 rushes and owned the ball for 35 minutes as they wanted to get this over with without injuries. The Warhawks might have wanted to get through this game as quickly as possible as well with only 93 yards of offense and six first downs to lean on. The running game produced less then a yard per carry and Pete Thomas could get ULM moving through the air with a 16-30 effort netting 77 yards. Punter Justin Manton was the busiest member on the team with ten punts.
I could make an argument for either team but they wouldn't be good. I know Troy is struggling but Louisiana-Monroe has not played great football. I'll lay the points and revisit later so please check back...
