The USC Trojans and the Oregon State Beavers face off on Saturday Night in a Pac-12 college football matchup.
The USC Trojans won one of the biggest games of the season knocking off Stanford a few weeks back but they followed it up with a bad loss at Boston College in a game they were heavily favored to win. USC QB Cody Kessler has done just about everything asked of him completing 71 percent of his passes with eight touchdowns and no interceptions. Javorius Allen is clearly the go to back for the Trojans averaging 5.3 yards per carry with Justin Davis being the second option but he is averaging just 2.3 yards per carry. Nelson Agholor has looked like and All American with 23 catches and three touchdowns for Southern Cal and Juju Smith has 11 catches. The Trojans defense had a tough night at BC but they have five interceptions, four sacks, and two recovered fumbles. Leonard Williams is looking like a top 5 NFL Draft pick leading the USC Defense with 23 tackles a sack and an interception, Gerald Bowman as 22 tackles and an interception, and Hayes Pullard has 21 tackles despite missing time for a targeting penalty. USC has plenty of talent but so far they have looked too raw to be consistent.

The Oregon State Beavers are off to a perfect 3-0 start but they are heading into what is easily their toughest game thus far. Sean Mannion is back leading the OSU offense but his numbers are way down as he has completed 67.3 percent of his passes with four touchdowns and two interceptions. It is running back by committee for Oregon State as Terron Ward and Storm Woods both have 212 yards on the ground with Ward having 4 touchdowns and Woods having 2. Voctor Boldin is the Beavers leading receiver with 18 catches while Connor Hamlett has 11. The Oregon State defense has been opportunistic with five interceptions, six sacks, and four fumble recoveries. Michael Doctor has 18 tackles and an interception to lead the Oregon Stat eindividual defensive stats wile Obum Gwacham has three sacks and Steve Nelson and Ty Zimmerman each have 14 tackles and two interceptions. Oregon State will learn a lot about where they stand overall as they are tested in this one.
USC is 5-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 14-6 against the spread following and off week, and 6-2 against the spread in their last eight Pac-12 games. Oregon State is 16-5 against the spread following an off week, 3-7 against the spread following a game that they cover the spread, and 4-1 against the spread in their last five road games. The home team has covered the point spread in seven of the last nine meetings of these two.
This should be a tough one and look for it to not be the prettiest game we see all and in the end it looks like the point spread is a little on the high side so I will take the points with Oregon State.
