The Arkansas State Red Wolves collide with the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks in week six action.
The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks squeezed by a struggling Troy 22-20 in what many predicted to be a blowout in week five. Justin Manton connected on a 29 yard field goal with just over two minutes remaining to supply the margin of victory. Both teams totaled around 350 yards and neither posed much of a running threat which left the respective passing attaks to duke it out. Pete Thomas connected on 28-43 for 328 yards with 15 yard and 43 yard scoring strikes to Ajalen Holley while Rasho Ceaser nabbed 12 balls for 121 yards.

The Arkansas State Red Wolves have had an extra week off to enjoy their 21-14 overtime victory over visiting Utah State. The defensive effort was good with the Aggies held to 413 yards although there was no Chuckie Keeton to contend with. The offense was less then thrilling with only 316 yards and four turnovers which explains the difficulty in scoring. Johnston White had a productive day on the ground with 100 yards on 18 touches including a four yard touchdown run with five minutes left in regulation to tie the score 14-14. Fredi Knighten was adequate in the air with 190 yards with a 24 yard TD toss to Dijon Paschal for the winner in in overtime.
Arkansas State got away with one against Utah State with the Aggies playing better on paper. Coming off of a bye I would expect a mush better performance from the Red Wolves...
