The Cincinnati Bearcats and their high powered offense welcome the Memphis Tigers to Nippert Stadium.
The Memphis Tigers had upset on their mind when they faced Mississippi on the road in week five and it looked good with Memphis trailing by a 7-2 count at the half. A 17-0 Rebels scoring spree over the final quarter turned the Tigers effort in to a tough defeat. The defense more then held their own with Ole Miss totaling 426 yards but recovering two fumbles and picking off a pair of passes. The bottom line was nearly zero offense from Memphis who managed only 104 yards with a pair of TO and just 23 minutes of possession. With no running game and Paxton Lynch struggling to a 13-31 effort in the air for 81 yards and a pick it was surprising the Tigers scored.

The Cincinnati Bearcats suffered their first defeat of 2014 in 50-28 decision at Ohio State. The Buckeyes opened a 30-7 lead with the Bearcats closing the gap to 33-28 but it was all bad from that point. OSU could not be stopped with 710 yards and 45 first downs with equal ability to run and throw. Cincy wasn't as prolific with 422 yards and 70 rushing yards so moving the chains fell on the shoulders of Gunner Kiel and the receiving corps. Kiel didn't disappoint with 352 yards and four touchdowns with Chris Moore catching three balls for 221 yards and touchdowns of 60, 78 and 83 yards. The obvious issue was the Bearcats defense couldn't get off the field.
The concern here is whether the Memphis secondary can contain Kiel and keep the scoreboard manageable. I believe the Tigers will be able to score some and I will back them but would like to get seven points...
