Rice Stadium and the Rice Owls welcome the Hawaii Warriors to town in Saturday night tilt,
The Hawaii Warriors weren't given much of a chance at Colorado in week five but they did battle before eventually falling 21-12. The defense did their job by limiting the Buffaloes to 405 yards and no second half points while posting a pair of interceptions. The offensive side of the ball had issues however with 286 yards which made a lost fumble and pick stand out even more. The UH ground game was a bright spot with Steven Lakalaka totaling 123 yards on 19 carries. However Ikaika Woolsey and Jeremy Higgins struggled through the air with a combined 14-41 for 130 yards.

The Rice Owls finally got in to the win column with a 41-23 victory over Southern Mississippi. The boxscore doesn't equate to what happened on the scoreboard as the Owls did a lot of damage on their 395 yards. The Southern Miss air attack did present problems with 283 yards but three turnovers took away some of the effectiveness. Rice was able to a little of everything and took advantage of every opportunity with Driphus Jackson throwing for 178 yards and a pair of touchdowns including a 40 yarder to Mario Hull. Jowan Davis packed a wallop on the ground with 131 yards and two trips to the endzone with Darik Dillard adding 55 yards to give Rice some complimentary yardage.
I think Hawaii is more will move the ball a bit on Rice but I think the Owls will move it more especially at home so I'll lay the points...
