The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners look to get back to winning when the New Mexico Lobos visit.
The New Mexico Lobos fell to 1-3 on the season following a 35-24 defeat at the hands of visiting Fresno State. The Lobos led 17-14 at the half but neither side of the ball made plays over the final 30 minutes. The Bulldogs offense simply proved to be too much with almost 600 yards and 30 first downs while the UNM rushing attack fell short. The Lobos were one dimensional with Lamar Jordan going 4-7 for 97 yards with a 36 yard touchdown pass to David Anaya but the Lobos didn't throw when trailing late. Crusoe Gongway led an effective ground game with 163 yards with Jhurell Pressley adding 70 yards and a score but the offense was unable to respond in the second half.

The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners dropped a 41-37 decision at Florida Atlantic for loss number three in a row for a 1-3 record. Both teams finished with over 400 yards in a back and forth contest. David Glasco II ran for 85 yards and a touchdown to give UTSA some semblance of a ground attack but running the ball effectively didn't happen. The Roadrunners weren't consistent throwing the ball with Tucker Carter completing 20-39 throws for a touchdown and a pair of interceptions including a 76 yard pick six which was a 14 point swing. Brady Jones led the special teams with an 87 yard kick return but the deciding factor was FAU quarterback Jaquez Johnson made too many plays and was error free.
The Roadruners were impressive through three games to begin 2014 but their perfomance at Florida Atlantic wasn't good. A 1-4 start with a loss to New Mexico would likely end any Bowl hopes so nothing short of an impressive win would help the situation...
