The Memphis Tigers lock horns with the Houston Cougars in week seven action on Saturday.
The Houston Cougars look to rebound from a disappointing 17-12 loss to visiting Central Florida in week six. The Cougars had their opportunities but with 331 yards and three turnovers the offense was kicking field goals and not PAT's. Ryan Jackson and Kenneth Farrow were the Cougars ground game with a combined 103 yards on 17 carries which wasn't enough to worry the Knights front seven. Greg Ward Jr. and John O'Korn completed 22-43 throws for 214 yards with O'Korn tossing a pair of interceptions. The UH defense was outstanding with Central Florida mustering 228 yards and ten first downs.

The Memphis Tigers throttled Cincinnati 41-14 in a game that might not have been as close as the final score. The Tigers exploded for 24 first quarter points and were never challenged as they rolled up a 610-352 advantage in total yards. The defense held Gunner Kiel and the Bearcats high powered passing attack to 216 yards while forcing a pair of turnovers. Sam Craft led a balanced Memphis offense with 170 rushing yards on 38 carries with a trip to the endzone. Quarterback Paxton Lynch ran for 45 yards and a pair of scores and threw for 311 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Tigers dominated all phases of the game.
The Tigers are obviously improved and the question is whether they can duplicate their week six effort which honestly is a tall task. I'll lay the points but check back later for updates...
