The USC Trojans and Arizona Wildcats play a big Pac-12 matchup Saturday night at Arizona Stadium.
The USC Trojans are coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Arizona State Sun Devils and need a win to stay in the Pac-12 South race. Cody Kessler is completing 69.5 percent of his passes for 10 touchdowns and zero interceptions, but he’s coming off a game where he threw zero touchdowns. The Trojans have 12 passing plays of more than 25 yards and five different players with double-digit receptions. Javorius Allen has been the most consistent offensive player for USC, as he’s topped 100 rushing yards in four of the five games and has three touchdowns in his last two games. USC has scored more than 30 points in seven of its last 10 regular season games. Defensively, the USC Trojans are allowing 21.6 points, 391.6 yards, and they’ve forced nine turnovers and eight sacks. Running back Nick Wilson, who leads Arizona with 574 rushing yards and six touchdowns, is questionable with an ankle injury. Arizona’s offense is one of the more explosive units in the country, producing 14 passing plays of 25 or more yards, and Cayleb Jones leads the Wildcats with 525 yards and six touchdowns. Arizona has won nine of its last 10 regular season games when scoring 25 or more points. Defensively, the Arizona Wildcats are allowing 26.6 points, 433.6 yards, and they’ve forced six turnovers and 14 sacks. Scooby Wright III leads Arizona with 58 tackles and Derrick Turituri has five tackles for loss.
