The Utah State Aggies dominated Brigham Young on the road by a 35-20 count in which Cougars star quarterback Taysom Hill broke his leg and is lost for the season. The Aggies took a 28-14 lead heading to the locker room and never looked back as their defense intercepted backup QB Christian Stewart three times and recovered a fumble which led to almost 38 minutes in time of possession. Nick Virgil and Joe Hill led an unproductive rushing attack with 111 yards on 34 carries but when the Aggies turned to the passing of Darell Garretson they were rewarded. Garretson connected on 19-25 for 321 yards and three touchdowns with Hunter Sharp grabbing five balls for 173 yards including a 72 yard TD.
I think Utah State played their best game of 2014 in beating BYU and in my view they would have won even if Hill played the entire game. Having said that I have to say I have been impressed with the Air Force and will gladly grab more then a TD here...
