The Boise State Broncos and the blue turf brace for a visit from the Fresno State Bulldogs in week eight.
The Fresno State Bulldogs saw their three game winning streak come to an end in a 30-27 overtime loss at UNLV in week seven. This came against a Rebels squad that struggled to put anything together with much of the issues being the fault of the Bulldogs who gave the ball away three times and botched an extra point that allowed UNLV to send this to OT late with a field goal. Both teams finished with around 480 yards with Fresno doing their damage in the second half after trailing 17-0 at the break. Marteze Waller gave the Bulldogs ground game punch with 137 yards and a TD while Brian Burrell threw for 310 yards and three scores with a pair of picks.

The Boise State Broncos headed in to their bye week with a 51-45 victory at Nevada which was a mixed bag type performance on both sides of the ball. The offense piled up 570 yards and were 10-16 on converting third downs but the mistakes continued to add up with a trio of giveaways. The defense didn't get a ton of stops but did record four interceptions including a pick six with the Wolf Pack totaling 462 yards. Jay Ajayi was the workhorse in the Boise rushing attack with a 27 carry, 152 yard night and three touchdowns whil Grant Hedrick connected on 26-31 a pair of touchdowns and an interception. The numbers say the Broncos should of had more breathing room but the team made too many mental and physical mistakes.
I don't like what I have seen from either team but for right now The Broncos on the blue turf is the way I'm looking but check back Friday...
