The Line: Mississippi Rebels -17 -- Over/Under: 46 See the Latest Odds
The Ole Miss Rebels and the Tennessee Volunteers face off on Saturday in SEC college football action.
The Ole Miss Rebels are unbeaten and ranked third in the nation and have done nothing to make anyone believe that they don’t have what it takes to win it all. The Mississippi offense is averaging 35.7 points per game and 441.7 yards and are led by QB Bo Wallace who has completed 68.5 percent of his passes with 15 touchdowns and six interceptions and he has rushed for two touchdowns. Jaylen Walton is Ole Miss’ leading rusher averaging 5.9 yards per carry with three touchdowns and Lavonte Treadwell has 30 receptions and four touchdowns. Ole Miss has a championship defense allowing just 11.8 points per game and 307.2 yards Tony Conner leads Ole Miss with 36 tackles, Mike Hilton has 34 tackles, and Cody Prewitt has 32 tackles as the Rebels D just isn’t on the field long. Mississippi seems to have eliminated the mistakes and may be the hardest hitting and best tackling team in the nation.

The Tennessee Volunteers are 3-3 for the season with losses to Georgia, Oklahoma, and Florida and coming off of a win over FCS Chattanooga. The Tennessee offense is averaging 28 points and 347.5 yards per game with QB Justin Worley completing 63.3 percent of his passes with 12 touchdowns and five interceptions. Jalen Hurd leads the Vols in rushing with a 4.5 yards per carry average with two touchdowns and Marquez North is UT’s leading receiver with 24 catches and Alton Howard has 24. The Tennessee defense is allowing 19.2 points and 316.3 yards per game with nine interceptions, five fumble recoveries, and 12 sacks. Tennessee is improved but looks to still have some work to do.
Ole Miss is 3-0-1 against the spread in their last four home games, 4-0-1 against the spread following a win, and 20-8-1 against the spread in their last 29 games. Tennessee is 2-5 against the spread in their last seven SEC games, 1-4 against the spread following a win, and 2-5 against the spread in their last seven road games against a team with a winning home record. Tennessee has covered the point spread once in their last five games against Mississippi.
The total is at 46 and I see this one staying under that number and that is my free pick though it is a lean at best. My stronger pick is on who will cover the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
