The Southern Methodist Mustangs tangle with Cincinnati Bearcats at Gerald J. Ford Stadium.
The Cincinnati Bearcats had high hopes heading in to 2014 but after getting hammered 55-34 by Miami in week seven it has become obvious their scoring can't keep up with the lack of defense. The Hurricanes easily won the yardage battle 621-422 while doing whatever they wanted when they wanted. The Bearcats had no ability to run the ball and relied completely on the passing of Gunner Kiel who threw for 355 yards and three TD's and three interceptions including a pick six. The issue was Miami could not be stopped in any area.

The Southern Methodist Mustangs played their best game of the season heading in to their bye week in a 45-24 defeat at East Carolina but the team still fell to 0-5 on the year. The Mustangs have struggled on both sides of the ball and did so once again although this was their highest scoring output of the year. The Pirates were just too much offensively with 581 yards despite a season high 390 yards from the SMU attack. Quarterback Garrett Krstich was the Mustangs only source of moving the ball 339 yards with a pair of touchdowns and a interception. This boiled down to ECU having too much offensive firepower.
First off I don't like the Bearcats defense which is abysmal and I see this as a game where SMU will score. Will they score enough to cover is the question and I'm not sure I want to be involved...
