The South Florida Bulls make the long trek to Oklahoma where the Tulsa Golden Hurricane await in the first ever meeting.
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane gave the Temple Owls everything they could handle before falling by a 35-24 count on Saturday. The defense struggled to make enough plays throughout with Temple totaling 495 yards and hitting on several big gainers. The Golden Hurricane gained 438 yards and played mistake free although 108 yards in penalties could be termed as a a mistake. Dane Evans enjoyed oneof his best performances as he connected on 21-36 throws for 260 yards with Keevan Lucas sparking the Tulsa receiving corps with nine catches for 109 yards including a 29 yard touchdown. Zack Langer did the bulk of the work on the ground with 113 yards on 30 totes with James Flanders adding 51 but the Golden Hurricane rushing attack was well contained.

The South Florida Bulls couldn't hold on to a late lead and it cost them in a 28-17 loss to #22 East Carolina Saturday. The Bulls led 17-7 heading in to the locker room but were outscored 21-0 in the second half. The defense had their hands full with the Pirates rolling up 481 yards the offense mustered 350 yards. Marlon Mack was the only runner of note with 61 yards on 15 carries with a 13 yard scoring run. Mike White gave the South Florida passing attack some bite by completing 21-41 for 257 yards with an interception and a 51 yard scoring strike to Andre Davis who led the receiving unit with six catches for 124 yards.
South Florida has gone under in their last six conference games while the over has gone 5-0 in the Golden Hurricane's last five home games so something has to give. These teams have never played so trends can be deceiving in this case but there is not much to like about either team and the thought of South Florida on the road is giving me a headache but I'm thinking they are the better squad in a pick 'em because the Golden Hurricane have been struggling just as much in my view...
