The South Florida Bulls look to stay in the AAC race when they go on the road to face the Cincinnati Bearcats.
The South Florida Bulls snapped a two game skid with a come from behind 38-30 victory in week eight. The Bulls rallied from a 27-7 first half hole to improve to 2-1 in the AAC and keep their postseason hopes afloat. Tulsa dominated the first 30 minutes where they gained most of their 488 yards while South Florida returned the favor with a 31 point second had where most of their 412 yards were gained. Mike White shook off an early pick six to complete 17-26 for 272 yards with three touchdowns, all to Andre Davis including an 85 yarder that gave the Bulls the lead for good in the 4th. The ground game received a big boost from Marlon Mack who rambled for 154 yards including touchdowns of 54 yards and 34 yards.

The Cincinnati Bearcats evened their record at 3-3 with a one sided 41-3 rout at Southern Methodist on Saturday. The Bearcats have gained the reputation as an offense only team that struggles on the defensive side of the ball but that wasn't the case versus the Mustangs who were dominated on both sides of the ball. This was close for 15 minutes before Cincinnati's 22 point second quarter ended this from a competitive standpoint. The Bearcats rolled up 508 yards split evenly between the run and pass while SMU struggled to move the chains with only 271 yards to lean on. Jarred Evans, Rod Moore, Chad Banschbach and Gunner Kiel were the nucleus of the rushing game with a combined 222 yards while Kiel added another 241 yards through the air with a 23 yard scoring toss to Johnny Holton.
The under is 6-0 in the past six games following a SU win while going 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall with the under going 9-1 in the Bulls last ten contests after allowing more then 280 yards in their previous contests. Over is 7-1 in the Bearcats last eight Friday games with the under going 8-2 in the last ten contests following a SU win of more then 20 points while Cincinnati is 2-8 ATS in the last ten after gaining more then 450 yards in their previous game. Head to head South Florida is 2-8 ATS in the last ten meetings and 1-4 ATS in the past five trips to Cincinnati while the underdog is 5-2 ATS in the last seven match ups.
I saw a vastly improved Bearcats defense against SMU and a great offensive effort from South Florida against Tulsa. Both opponents were far from stellar so this isn't much to go on but I'll take the points and update on game day...
