The Central Michigan Chippewas head to UB Stadium to take the field with the Buffalo Bulls in MAC action.
The Central Michigan Chippewas drive to stay in the AC race just got more difficult after a 31-28 loss to Ball State in week eight. After tying the score 29-29 with 2.22 left in regulation the Chips watched the Cardinals nail a 50+ yard field goal with 17 seconds left to steal the win. Central Michigan dominated total yardage 426-287 but completely negated that advantage with five turnovers. CMU could both run and pass with Thomas Rawls rushing for 167 yards on 32 carries including a five yard scoring run. The air attack was even more productive with Cooper Rush throwing for 245 yards with three touchdowns but also a pair of interceptions with Titus Davis snagging ten balls for 128 yards and two TD's. The defense played great but the CMU offense gave Ball State the win.

It looks like the Buffalo Bulls will need to sweep their remaining schedule to have a shot at the postseason and needless to say that is a very tall order. A 37-27 loss at Eastern Michigan has the team staring at consecutive defeats and with that the school dismissed HC Quinn who received a contract extention not long ago. Buffalo won the yardage battle 537-484 but were mistake prone with a trio of giveaways. The Bulls were able to do a bit of everything with Anthone Taylor rambling for 128 yards on 24 carries while Joe Licata threw for 383 yards with three touchdowns and a pair of interceptions. Ron Willoughby caught four balls for 103 yards for an explosive performance in the air but mistakes and 346 yards from Reginald Bell Jr. cost UB the game and their coach.
The over is 5-0 in Central Michigan's last five following a bye with the under going 6--1 in the Chippewas last seven game in October while the under is 5-1 in the Chippewas last six contests against a team with a losing record. The over is 6-0 in Buffalo's last six games after allowing more then 200 rushing yards in their previous game with the over going 6-1 in the Bulls last seven following a SU defeat withthe over hitting at a 6-1 clip in the past seven following an ATS loss. Head to head Buffalo is 3-1 ATS with the under going 3-1.
I was going with the Chippewas here but Buffalo fired their coach I don't know what to expect from this team that could come together or fall apart. I'll lay the field goal for now but check back Friday afternoon...
