The Northern Illinois Huskies bounced back from their first conference loss by outscoring Miami (Ohio) 51-41 Saturday. This went back and forth in what can only be termed a shootout with the Huskies racking up 658 yards behind a bruising ground game that accumulated 433 yards and averaged almost eight yards per touch. The Eagles totaled 514 yards with nearly 350 yards coming in the air so moving the chains was not a worry for either side. Northern Illinois is the better team but they have not been very impressive in my eye so the big road chalk is scary. EMU is struggling and if they don't play well they won't cover. I have this number right a round 20 so check back Friday in case I see something...
