The San Jose State Spartans make the long trip to the east coast to take the field with the Navy Midshipmen.
The San Jose State Spartans evened their record at 3-3 following a 27-20 overtime victory at Wyoming on Saturday. The Spartans dominated the boxscore with 471 yards, 31 first downs and nearly 36 minutes of possession while the Cowboys mustered 277 yards and eleven first downs. SJSU ran the football just good enough to make the defense aware with Tyler Ervin posting 96 yards on 22 carries with Limihai Hifo adding another 45 yards. Joe Gray and the air attack drove the offense with 322 yards with a pair of touchdowns with Hansel Wilson and Tyler Winston leading the receiving corps with 15 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown apiece. Despite a solid offensive game the points were scarce and a fumble was returned 63 yards for a TD.

The Navy Midshipmen were thought to have a great opportunity at ten wins in 2014 but it's going to take a perfect run the rest of the way to achieve that goal. Something appeared amiss as the Middies dropped three in a row before throttling VMI 51-14 with the option piling up 352 yards and averaging over seven yards per carry. The defense played their best game of the season with the Keydets limited to 262 yards with their only touchdown coming on a fumble recovery in the endzone while recording a pick six of their own. Tago Smith led a very limited passing attack that went 3-5 for 82 yards with Noah Copeland hauling in a 16 touchdown toss. Copeland also led the Naval rushing game with 107 yards including a 64 yard scoring jaunt while Chris Swain, Dishan Romine and DeBrandon Sanders combined for 155 yards on 17 carries.
The over is 5-0-1 in the Spartans last six games following an ATS victory with the under going 4-0 in the Spartans last four contests on fieldturf. San Jose State is 4-0 in their last four games versus a team with a losing home record. The Midshipmen are 0-4 ATS in their last four non conference games with the under going 4-0 in Navy's last four contests after allowing less then 100 yards rushing in their previous game. The Midshipmen are 4-0 ATS in their past four games after scoring more then 40 points in their previous game. Head to head San Jose State is 2-1 ATS versus Navy with the under going 2-1.
I don't know if Keenan Reynolds is playing and if he isn't then double digit in points is too much for me to pass up...
