College Football: Saturday

The Line: Oklahoma State Cowboys -1 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

The West Virginia Mountaineers and Oklahoma State Cowboys play Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium.

The West Virginia Mountaineers are coming off a huge upset win over the Baylor Bears and are back in the Big 12 hunt. West Virginia continues to rely on its offense led by Clint Trickett, who is completing 68.2 percent of his passes for 15 touchdowns and five interceptions. In his last two games, Trickett has thrown for more than 600 yards, five touchdowns and one pick. Trickett will have to shoulder more of the workload with leading rusher Rushel Shell questionable for this game with a foot injury. If Shell can’t go Wendell Smallwood, who has 189 rushing yards in his last two games, will get the start for West Virginia. Kevin White has emerged as one of the top receivers in the country with 69 receptions for 1,020 yards and seven touchdowns. West Virginia has 28 passing plays that have produced 25 or more yards and Mario Alford has a touchdown catch in four of his last six games. Defensively, the West Virginia Mountaineers allow 27.1 points, 382.3 yards, and they’ve forced four turnovers and 12 sacks. Nick Kwiatkoski leads West Virginia with 55 tackles and Shaquille Riddick has four sacks.

Oklahoma State vs. West Virginia - 10/25/14 CFB Pick, Odds, Prediction

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are coming off a beatdown to the TCU Horned Frogs but look to remain undefeated at home. Daxx Garman is completing 55.4 percent of his passes for 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Garman hasn’t been effective lately, as he’s completed less than 55 percent of his passes and has three interceptions and one touchdown in his last two games. Desmond Roland is the workhorse for OSU, as he has 475 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. Oklahoma State is 11-2 SU in the regular season when Roland rushes for a touchdown. Brandon Sheperd and David Glidden have combined for 680 receiving yards and three touchdowns, however, neither has scored in four weeks. Defensively, the Oklahoma State Cowboys allow 27.1 points, 420.7 yards, and they’ve forced eight turnovers and 20 sacks. Ryan Simmons leads Oklahoma State with 55 tackles and Emmanuel Ogbah has 11.5 tackles for loss.

The Mountaineers are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 conference games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win. The Cowboys are 13-4 ATS in their last 17 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 conference games.

I can't back Oklahoma State after what I saw last week against TCU. West Virginia is a team that's starting to hit its stride and has improved greatly on the defensive side of the ball. Give me the  Mountaineers to keep things rolling on the road.
