The Tulane Green Wave look to slow down the high powered Cincinnati Bearcats when they visit in week ten.
The Cincinnati Bearcats stayed in the AAC race with a one sided 34-17 victory over visiting South Florida in week nine. The much maligned Bearcats defense held the Bulls to 281 yards and forced a pair of fumbles and picked off two passes. The offense lost three fumbles but their 590 yards more then made up for mistakes with equal ability to run or throw. Quarterback Gunner Kiel hit 13-22 for 196 yards with a 38 touchdown to Johnny Holton and ran another 17 yards for six more before reinjuring his ribs and leaving in favor of Munchie Legaux. Legaux connected on 14-15 for 121 yards with a nine yard TD run. Mike Boone dominated USF on the ground with 212 yards on 19 totes including a 63 yard touchdown run while Shaq Washington led the Cincinnati receivers with 12 catches for 163 yards.

The Tulane Green Wave are at the point of the season where they have to win out to have an opportunity to go Bowling. The Green Wave could have made their life easier with a win at Central Florida in week eight but a 20-13 defeat despite controlling the pace has the team needing help. Tulane held a 278-233 advantage in total yards and won the turnover battle 4-2 yet came up short on the scoreboard. Neither offense did anything to stand out with a 12 carry, 63 yard day on the ground with a nine yard score probably making him the offensive star. Sherman Badie contributed 48 yards on 14 touches in a rushing attack that never broke through. The Green Wave never broke through in the air either with Nick Montana completing 18-41 for 147 yards with a pair of interceptions.
The under is 4-0 in Bearcats last 4 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game and is 4-0 in Bearcats last 4 vs. a team with a losing record while also going 5-1 in Bearcats last 6 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. The Tulane Green Wave are 9-0 ATS in their last 9 games in October and the under is 5-0 in Green Wave last 5 games after accumulating less than 170 yards passing in their previous game and 5-0-1 in Green Wave last 6 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game. If Cincinnati plays defense as they did against South Florida I think they can cover regardless of who is under center. Tulane will try to drag this through the mud and if they do the Bearcats could be in trouble...
