The Utah State Aggies make the long trip to Aloha Stadium to square off with the Hawaii Warriors.
The Utah State Aggies hope to keep the wins adding up when they visit Hawaii in search of consecutive victories. The Aggies are coming off of a 34-20 decision over visiting UNLV behind a strong defensive performance and solid second half scoring. The Rebels mustered just 282 yards with 13 first downs and a 3-16 mark on third down conversions while recovering a fumble and intercepting a pair of passes. The Aggies moved the ball well with 444 yards with a decent amount of running and passing. USU wanted to establish the run to take some pressure off of third string quarterback Craig Harrison and were moderately successful with Nick Virgil and Joe Hill combining for 99 yards on 24 totes. Harrison added 39 yards of his own but he probably didn't need much help with 221 yards passing with three TD's including 69 yard and 71 yard scoring throws.

The Hawaii Warriors are an improved squad and that statement will be put to the test when a strong Utah State team visits Aloha Stadium Saturday. The Warriors weren't quite strong enough versus Nevada in a 26-18 home loss where the defense gave up 427 yards but kept the scoreboard manageable. The issues here were moving the chains and finding the endzone which didn't happen consistently with 303 yards with very little production on the ground. Steven Lakalaka led the Warriors with 15 carries for 55 yards and a five yard scoring run. The UH passing attack has been a concern since the beginning of 2014 but Ikaika Woolsey completed 18-32 with a 39 yard scoring strike to Donnie King to open the scoring while also tossing an interception. The Warriors are still in a quarterback by the week mode and haven't settled on one option.
The under is 6-1 in Aggies last 7 games after allowing less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game and is 6-1 in Aggies last 7 road games while going 6-1 in Aggies last 7 conference games. The Hawaii Warriors are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record while the Warriors are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game with the over going 5-1 in Rainbow Warriors last 6 games in November. Head to head the over is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in Hawaii and is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings. Strange things often happen when teams go to Hawaii and the low spread has me scratching my head and leaves me with no other choice but Utah State...
