The Line: Michigan Wolverines -7 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

TV: BTN

The Indiana Hoosiers and Michigan Wolverines meet Saturday afternoon at Michigan Stadium.

The Indiana Hoosiers have lost three of their last four games and need to start winning if they hope to make a bowl game for the first time since 2007. If that’s going to happen, Indiana needs to improve a defense that’s allowing 34.9 points, 452 yards, and has forced six turnovers and 14 sacks. The Indiana Hoosiers have allowed 35 or more points in 12 of their last 16 games. T.J. Simmons leads Indiana with 43 tackles and Nate Hoff has five tackles for loss. Offensively, Indiana is forced to roll with freshman Zander Diamont after injuries at the quarterback position, and he completed 33.3 percent of his passes in his first game against Michigan State. Shane Wynn leads Indiana with 422 receiving yards and two scores, but it’s going to be difficult to give him the ball with the quarterback situation being what it is the rest of the way. Expect Indiana is lean on a running game that’s averaging 6.4 yards per carry, as Tevin Coleman has rushed for 1,192 yards and 11 touchdowns, scoring at least once in six of the seven games.

Michigan vs. Indiana - 11/1/14 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Michigan Wolverines have lost four of their last five games and the offensive issues continue to pile up. Devin Gardner is completing 60.9 percent of his passes for six touchdowns and 10 interceptions. In his last two games, Gardner has one touchdown and three interceptions, as Michigan has lost nine of its last 10 games when scoring 24 or less points. Michigan has just 10 passing plays of 25 or more yards and one receiver with more than 17 receptions. Devin Funchess is truly the only Michigan player who gives the Wolverines a spark, as he leads the way with 525 yards and four touchdowns. Michigan needs to rely on its ground game more often, as it’s averaging a solid 4.4 yards per carry and De'Veon Smith has scored in three of his last four games. Defensively, the Michigan Wolverines are allowing 23.1 points, 319.1 yards, and they’ve forced five turnovers and 19 sacks. Jake Ryan leads Michigan with 68 tackles and Brennen Beyer has four sacks.

The Hoosiers are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 road games and 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Wolverines are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 conference games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall.

I just can't turn down a free touchdown with the way the Michigan Wolverines have been playing. Michigan doesn't deserve to be a big favortie against anybody with their quarterback situation. This is more of a bet against the Michigan Wolverines than it is in favor of the Indiana Hoosiers.
