TV: CBS

The Auburn Tigers and the Texas A&M Aggies face off on Saturday in a SEC college football Week 10 matchup.

The Auburn Tigers appear to control their own destiny and if they win out they will be in the college football playoff. Auburn is coming off of a monster win over Ole Miss but they still have plenty of work ahead including this game and their annual matchup with Alabama. The Auburn offense is averaging 38.8 points and 498.1 yards per game and they are led by QB Nick Marshall who has completed 59.6 percent of his passes with 13 touchdowns and four interceptions and he has rushed for 631 yards and nine touchdowns. Cameron Artis-Payne is Auburn’s leading rusher gaining with 974 yards and seven touchdowns and D’haquille Williams is the Tigers leading receiver with 37 catches and five touchdowns. The Auburn defense allows 22 points and 378.6 yards per game and the have forced 18 turnovers. Johnathan Ford has 60 tackles, Cassanova McKinzy has 52 tackles, and Jonathan Jones has five interceptions. Auburn is focused on avenging last year’s loss in the Championship.

Auburn vs. Texas A&M - 11/8/14 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Texas A&M Aggies are coming off of an out of conference win over UL-Monroe that ended a three-game losing streak. Texas A&M started the season unbeaten but their youth an experience caught up with them in SEC play. Kyle Allen starts at QB again this week for the suspended Kenny Hill and Allen has completed 54.5 percent of his passes with four touchdowns and three interceptions. Tra Carson leads the Aggies rushing attack with 326 yards and five touchdowns and Trey Williams has 313 yards and five touchdowns as they split carries. Texas A&M has a slew of receivers led by Malcome Kennedy who has 38 catches and two touchdowns, Ricky Seals-Jones with 37 catches and three touchdowns, and Speedy Noil has 36 catches and four touchdowns. The Aggies defense is allowing 25.9 points and 414.2 yards and they have forced just seven turnovers. Deshazor Everett has 54 tackles, Howard Mathews has 52 tackles, and Justin bass has 50 tackles. A win here would give Texas A&M their confidence back in hopes of a strong finish.

Auburn is 11-2 against the spread in their last 13 SEC games, 11-3 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 16-5 against the spread in their last 21 games. Texas A&M is 2-6 against the spread in their last eight road games, 0-5 against the spread in their last five games, and 8-22 against the spread against a team with a winning record.

The points here are enticing because there are so many but this one has the potential to get ugly fast and I look for Auburn to win and cover.
