The Eastern Michigan Eagles travel to Scheumann Stadium to take the field with the Ball State Cardinals.
The Eastern Michigan Eagles have had plenty of issues on both sides of the ball which have been the same for several seasons. Those issues were in full view during a 51-7 loss at Western Michigan in week 12. The Eagles trailed 48-0 at the half and never recovered with 370 yards and three turnovers doing them in. The defense allowed 497 yards to a pass heavy Broncos attack that also received a 93 yard kick return for a touchdown. This was a game ENU needed a clock eating rushing attack but the Eagles had zero success on the ground. Reginald Bell Jr. did have some success through the air completing 14-22 for 293 yards with a pair of interceptions and a 76 yard scoring strike to Bronson Hill late in the 4th quarter.

The Ball State Cardinals had high expdectations of participating in the postseason in 2014 but there simply hasn't been enough scoring and the defensive side of the football hasn't been able to win on their lonesome. Week 12's 24-10 defeat to Massachusetts wa a perfect example of the struggles as the defense put forth a winnable perfomance as they kept the Minutemen under control despite allowing 569 yards. The Cardinals mustered just 286 yards but gave the ball away four times to completely stall. The rushing attack produced less then 70 yards and averaged a little more them two yards per touch wwhich placed the focus of moving the ball on Jack Milas and the passing game. Milas connected on 23-37 for 210 yards with a 33 yard scoring strike to Jordan Williams while tossing a pair of picks.
The Eagles are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games in November and are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 road games while the Eagles are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game. For Ball State the Cardinals are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game and the under is 6-1 in Cardinals last 7 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game while the Cardinals are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games in November. Head to head the over is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings and the road team is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings. Neither team has impressed and with the huge spread many will back EMU but I'mbacking the potential of Ball State...
