The Stanford Cardinal are just 5-5 this season and need a win to get into a bowl game. The Stanford offense has been disappointing averaging just 23.9 points and 378.4 yards per game led by QB Kevin Hogan who has completed 63.8 percent of his passes with 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Remound Wright is Stanford’s leading rusher with 396 yards and Ty Montgomery leads the Cardinal defense with 60 receptions. The Stanford defense has been the team’s stronger unit allowing 16.5 points and 277.7 yards per game with just nine takeaways and 33 sacks. Blake Martinez has 81 tackles and 4.5 sacks, Jordan Richards has 67 tackles, and A.J. Tarpley has 64 tackles. After a nice run of top tier bowl games Stanford has taken a step back to rebuild this season.

Cal is 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 games, 8-22 against the spread following a loss, and 3-12 against the spread in their last 15 home games. Stanford is 2-5 agaisnt the spread in their last seven Pac-12 games, 6-1 against the spread following a loss, and 0-5 against the spread in their last five road games. The road team has covered the point spread in four of the last five meetings of these two.

With the total set at 56 I like the over in this one and that is my free pick. My stronger play is on who will cover the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
