The Line: Clemson Tigers -41 -- Over/Under: TBA See the Latest Odds

The Georgia State Panthers travel to Death Valley to play the Clemson Tigers on Saturday afternoon.

Georgia State dropped to 1-9, 0-7 Sun Belt after losing at Troy 45-21 two weeks ago. The Panthers open the season with a win over Abilene Christian and have not won a game since. Georgia State has won, if not, the worst defense is college football, allowing just about 44 points a game. Offensively, the Panthers are averaging only 24.1 points per game, which ranks a lousy 97th in the country. QB Nick Arbuckle has thrown for 2,812 yards with 19 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. WR Donovan Harden has hauled in a team best 52 balls for 796 yards and 7 touchdowns. Georgia State only averages 95.6 rushing yards per game, but does average over 287 passing yards per game as they find themselves behind in every game. The Panthers will have had two weeks to rest and prepare for their trip to Death Valley.

Clemson Tigers vs. Georgia State Panthers - 11/22/14 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Clemson Tigers dropped to 7-3, 6-2 ACC after losing to Georgia Tech on the road 28-6 last weekend. The Tigers had won six straight games since losing to Florida State back in September. Against Georgia Tech, the Tigers defense allowed 353 total yards and forced two turnovers. On the season, Clemson’s defense is allowing only 19.4 points per game on average this season, which ranks a solid 14th in the country. QB Deshaun Watson made his first start in a month but then left the game in the first quarter with a knee injury. QB Cole Stoudt filled in and went 3 for 11 with only 19 yards passing and threw 3 interceptions. RB Wayne Gallman was the most productive Tiger on offense, carrying the ball 14 times for 82 yards. On the season, the Clemson offense is averaging a decent 29.8 points per game, which ranks 63rd in the country. Clemson will look to shack off this awful loss and move on to their final two games of the regular season. The Tigers will play their final two games at home; Clemson is 5-0 at home this season.

Georgia State’s toughest opponents all season were Air Force, Washington, and Georgia Southern. They lost by 10, 31, and 38 to those three teams. Clemson’s Watson is doubtful for this game, but the Tigers will still win comfortably. This is not a game that I would bet either way, but I’ll take the 40 points and hope that Georgia State finds a way to score 14 points.
