The Texas Tech Red Raiders and Iowa State Cyclones play Saturday at Jack Trice Stadium.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders have lost three straight games and are looking for their first road win since week 2. Texas Tech’s main issue has been on the defensive side, as it’s allowing 41.6 points, 503.6 yards, and has forced 13 turnovers and 18 sacks. The Texas Tech Red Raiders have allowed 30-plus points in 13 of their last 15 regular season games. Pete Robertson leads Texas Tech with 68 tackles and Branden Jackson has seven tackles for loss. Offensively, Davis Webb is completing 61.2 percent of his passes for 24 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Webb has missed the last two games with an ankle injury but is probable for this matchup. Jakeem Grant and Bradley Marquez have combined for more than 1,400 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns, while Devin Lauderdale has caught a touchdown in two of his last three games. Texas Tech’s ground game is averaging 5.1 yards per carry, as DeAndre Washington leads the way with 852 rushing yards.

Iowa State vs. Texas Tech - 11/22/14 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Iowa State Cyclones have lost three straight and have just one home win. Like Texas Tech, Iowa State plays little defense, allowing 37.8 points, 495 yards, and has forced 12 sacks and 10 turnovers. The Iowa State Cyclones have allowed at least 30 points in six straight games. T.J. Mutcherson has 67 tackles and Cory Morrissey has 6.5 tackles for loss. Offensively, Sam B. Richardson is completing 58.2 percent of his passes for 14 touchdowns and six interceptions. Richardson, who missed Iowa State’s last game with a shoulder injury, is probable for this game. Allen Lazard and D'Vario Montgomery have combined for more than 900 receiving yards and five touchdowns, while E.J. Bibbs has three touchdown receptions in his last three games. Iowa State’s ground game is averaging 3.5 yards per carry, as Aaron Wimberly leads the way with 390 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

The Red Raiders are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games and 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The Cyclones are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 conference games and 4-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. The favorite is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 meetings.

Both of these teams play absolutely no defense, which usually forces me to not play the game at all. However, Iowa State has shown more signs of life over the last couple of weeks and is at home. I don't love the pick but Iowa State should win and cover the small chalk.
