Not all that long ago many thought the Appalachian State Mountaineers were thought to be one of the worse teams in the country. Probably not now as the Mountaineers are riding a four game winning streak after knocking off Arkansas State by a 37-32 count. ASU looked like it was going to be a rout when they took a 13-0 lead in the first quarter but the Mountaineers came roaring back behind 549 yards with the Red Wolves totaling 314 yards. ASU did everything well with Marcus Cox dominating the ground with 229 yards on 40 carries with two scores. Tyler Lamb headed an efficient passing game with a 14-22 effort producing 255 yards with a pair of touchdowns.

The Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns have their eyes on the prize and that prize is the Sun Belt crown. Alonzo Harris paced UL Lafayette on the ground with 133 yards on 13 touches. The Ragin' Cajuns won because of their balance and three fumble recoveries.
The Mountaineers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game and the over is 4-1 in Mountaineers last 5 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game while the over is 4-1 in Mountaineers last 5 games overall. For UL Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win while the Ragin' Cajuns are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 conference games and 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. Both teams are red hot but Louisiana-Lafayette is in the running for the conference title and I'll take my chances with them...
