The Maryland Terrapins and Michigan Wolverines play Saturday at Michigan Stadium.

The Maryland Terrapins have split their last four games and hope to improve to 5-1 SU on the road. C.J. Brown is completing 52.7 percent of his passes for 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Brown has four touchdowns and three picks in his last three games, and Maryland has 24 passing plays of 25 or more yards. Deon Long and Marcus Leak have combined for more than 700 receiving yards and four touchdowns, while Juwann Winfree has caught five of his 10 passes in his last two games. Maryland has passed for less than 200 yards in two of its last three games, and a lot of that has to do with the loss of leading receiver Stefon Diggs. Maryland’s ground game is averaging 3.4 yards per carry, and Brown leads the way with 375 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, the Maryland Terrapins are allowing 29 points, 426.8 yards, and they’ve forced 27 sacks and 18 turnovers. Sean Davis leads Maryland with 94 tackles and Yannick Ngakoue has 12.5 tackles for loss.

Michigan vs. Maryland - 11/22/14 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Michigan Wolverines have won three of their last four games and need one more to become bowl eligible. Michigan’s defense is leading the way, as the Wolverines are allowing 20.4 points, 300.8 yards, and they’ve forced 27 sacks and 10 turnovers. The Michigan Wolverines have won 10 of their last 16 games when allowing 30 or less points. Jake Ryan leads Michigan with 90 tackles and Brennen Beyer has 5.5 sacks. Offensively, Devin Gardner is completing 61.2 percent of his passes for eight touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Gardner has two touchdowns and five picks in his last three games, and Michigan has 12 passing plays of 25 or more yards. Amara Darboh and Jehu Chesson have combined for more than 500 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Jake Butt is coming off a three-catch performance. Michigan’s ground game is averaging 4.5 yards per carry and De'Veon Smith leads the way with 487 yards and six scores.

The Terrapins are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss. The Wolverines are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in November and 2-5 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

Can we really trust the Michigan Wolverines to cover this much chalk? I'm a little scared. However, the Wolverines are finding ways to win right now and need this win if they're going to play in the postseason. Maryland isn't much better at the moment. Michigan should cover this number at home given what's on the line.
