The Navy Midshipmen head to Ladd-Peebles Stadium to take the field with the South Alabama Jaguars.
A season where the experts said the Navy Midshipmen had a great opportunity to post double figures in wins comes down to a must win in week 14 at South Alabama. The Midshipmen are coming in off a bye week following 52-19 rout of Georgia Southern for their third win in four contests to even their record at 5-5. Georgia Southern scored first befor the Middies ripped off 31 straight points to pull away. Both teams were about equal in yardage but GSU gave the ball away three times and Navy took advantage. The story of the game was Keenan Reynolds who threw for 71 yards and hit Jamir Tillman with a 14 yard scoring strike. Reynolds was the main man on the ground with 30 carries for 277 yards and a whopping six touchdowns.

The South Alabama Jaguars season boils down to week 14 and at 6-5 that means they must beat Navy to go Bowling. The Jaguars have had an extra week off to right the ship following a 37-12 loss to South Carolina was their third in four games. It wasn't the best time to face the Gamecocks who racked up 454 yards behind plenty of balance which was negated somewhat with four lost fumbles and a pick. Unfortunately USA couldn't take advantage with 289 yards with five giveways of their own. Kendall Houston and Terrence Timmons was the rushing attack with 130 yards on 33 carries which was okay until Brandon Bridge tried to put the ball in the air where he hit 2-11 for 19 yards. It was even worse when Hunter Vaughn completed 15-23 for 151 yards and four interceptions including a pick six.
The Midshipmen are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game and are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in November while the under is 4-0 in Midshipmen last 4 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game. For South Alabama the Jaguars are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games on fieldturf while the under is 5-0-1 in Jaguars last 6 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game. I remember this game from a season ago and the Navy option caused to many problems for South Alabama which I anticipate happening once again...
